BF Goodrich tyre question
jjsaul:
they do look to bulge...ive noticed that on all the bfg tyres

Well I've taken the plunge and ordered 5 new tyres. I had to pass on the BFGs as there seems to be a little constraint with supply at the moment. Everyone's got them on back order with stock due in early July. Bit too close for comfort as I leave for Iceland on the 9th. I have gone for Goodyear Wrangler ATR in standard size of 235/70/16. I shall start with LR pressures and see how they go. It will be interesting to see how they compare to BFG over time...

--- Quote from: "discomummy" ---my bfg ats must be up to about 50k and they are still looking very good

The BFG A/T's on my 110 are the original set (as far as I know) at circa 60,000miles
As a comparison;
The Goodyear GT+4(?) on my Discovery when I bought it were wearing rapidly at 38,000
The Avon Rangemasters on the 110Tdi Hard-Top were only swapped at about 55,000 miles!!! (& still probably had about 4mm left)
Digressing to another manufacturer
Didn't I read in the current issue of 'LRM that someone claims to have got 120,000miles out of a set of General Grabber M/T's!!!

--- Quote from: "KingWolf" ---I know this is going to be a simple question for you in the know but I'll be ringing up the garage tomorrow to see about getting a nice new set of BF Goodrich A/T fitted as my current rubber has nearly had it. I want to know if they all come with the white writing on the side or do you have to ask for something special. Only reason I'm asking is I saw a Disco in my local supermarket car park this afternoon and his tyres were completly black.
I've done all the normal searches on here and on the BF website and have come up blank.
Many thanks
Mark.

Getting back to where we started - Black every time!

I forgot to mention, I've gone the other way, white outside, BUT it makes the Maxxis on the front look very silly now.
