it is the same one, will reserve any judgement until he has had a chance to look at it, I took the car in to the local garage to visally inspect and see if they could suss out what was wrong as I didin't think it was related and challenger were really busy, but after spending an HOUR looking up at it there words were, "the seals on the rear off-side wheel bearing are fitted wrong and it's leaking out oil all ove rthe disk and the sensor"
That explains why it was better for an bit after I washed the car the other day.
My guess is the fault started when the wheel bearing first went wrong (it was very intermittent) and the new seal has a manufacturing fault? I cannot see Dave or Wavey fitting it wrong.
Range Rover Blues:
Big travel menas disk runout, often a loose bearing.
Disk rounout or hub runout will push the sensor back, giving at best an intermittenat reading.
Diagnosis, blink test. The highly technical diagnostic equipment required consists of........
.... a short peice of wire, a paper clip or a pair of pointy tweezers
