Wheel Bearing Siezed

(1/3) > >>

L90OOK:
My 110 decided that it had enough of its O/S/R wheel bearing today so it totally seized & locked the whole transmission up    #-o ...no warning signs either
After getting it home I have managed to get the wheel bearing nuts off...after drilling & chiseling the inner nut off
To top it off the inner bearing race has welded itself to the stub axle so I can't get the hub off...tomorrow the Oxy Acetylene comes out
Below is a picture of the bearing when I took the drive flange off...
I'll put some more photo's tomorrow of the progress  [-o<

extreme90:
drive on it abit more and break the bearing up, thats what i do when its in that state
saves hours of faffing around with the bottles
then when the cage has broken up slide the hub off, grind a slit in the race and whack it, off it pops, polish stub up in lathe or by hand with hemry cloth
and bobs ya uncle

L90OOK:
yeah i may do that...want to play with the oxy though...don't get many excuses

extreme90:
until you slip and take out the hub
the temptation is o soo much 4 me when it happens to me but i dont

take the frustration out on some 14mm plate instead
