Wheel Bearing Siezed

All done...new stub axle though  :cry:    :-({|=  
The bearing nut was welded to the stub axle...never mind, a big hammer & cold chisel sorted that  :) ...& the oxy acetylene sorted the rest :lol: :shock:

Did the other side too...just to be safe.
Whipped the diff pan off to check ARB ok & replaced the breather pipes.
All in all a good days work & total bill of about £140...not bad for a seized bearing :?  :roll:

Below are the pictures of the hub & what remains of the bearing!...I must stop reversing it into the sea to launch the boat  :roll:

Hell !! my snorkel has come in handy a couple of times when launching the boat  :shock:

salt water shouldnt get to the bearings any way, never had probs with my 90  :?

You should keep hold of those bits J, Rog might want them as spares.  8)

Nah!...he has my old back axle...complete with working hubs & bearings  :roll:

PMSL...what are you launching the QE2 :lol:  :twisted:

I'm pretty sure no salt water got in...the grease wasn't emulisified nor was the EP90 in the diff.  The drive flanges were sealed well with sealant ...just one of those things I guess  :roll:
