Grrrrrrr doorlocks....
chris.hunt22:
I have had my new flea bay springs in my glove box for 6 months and still not done em!! I have been told (not tried it though) that the mechanism bolts can come loose causing the rod length to be bigger, they neeed moving back and nipping up but I can't confirm wheather it works

Had problems with the passenger door on my Disco. When unlocked the door would be difficult to open from the outside but there was not a problem in opening it from the inside.
Have previously replaced a spring on the rear door lock which I purchased off Ebay.
Last year I also thought that the spring on the passenger door on my Range Rover had broken, stripped the door lock out and found the spring was ok. All that was needed was the rod length adjusting and everything was then ok. So when my disco door was difficult to open I also adjusted the rod length first which solved the problem.

I know what you mean about the rod length, what we have is a different problem as the doors won't undo from the inside either without pulling the catch up whilst pulling the handle, a good tip if your problem is the length of the rod is to bend it with some pliers to make it shorter (easier than taking it to bits and winding it down.....trust me!!)
