Thats the way we did it
Travelled down the night before after booking a Holiday inn family deal, got upearly got there 15 mins before it opened, straight in to the driving licence course thing as it gets packed, very good day out,but take your own food.
One of the locals advised us to leave by 4pm as the traffic can be bad.
Drove back and stopped at Birmingham, then went to Black country living meuseum, wasnt impressed, Blist hill in Telford was twice as good and bigger, cheaper etc.

I was going to suggest Holiday Inn as i used one of there offers and travelled down from Derbyshire AND had a day at L/L stayed in the Inn early morning swim in thier pool,breakfast and then day two at L/L. FANTASTIC. The one we stayed at was near to Heathrow.

ive been loads of time, we used to live relatively close...
it was sooo much fun when i went, i love the place, mind i love lego, and i used to build hundreds of models of lego and lego technic.

im 18 now, and i still love going there, i think its great fun.
mind dont get to build as many models anymore.... i got a land rover now  :lol:
