Legoland Windsor
Horness:
My youngest has decided rather than a party for his 5th birthday, he wants us all to go to Legoland Windsor (and they say advertising doesn't pay!).
Anyone who has been - will we get away with 1 day, or should I think about booking a 2 day pass and finding a B&B down there?
Also - whats it like?
Cheers

Its a great day out, the kids will love it. The only bad thing is the food is dear, as all those type of places are, and if its bad weather most of it is out doors.
If you close enough and you think you would go more than once, it may be cost effective to buy an annual pass. Its about over £100 for the day.
It cost £170 for the three of use for the years pass.
We only managed to get round 3 quarters of it in a full day.
Either way you should have a great day :D
Bunnie:
Tesco are doing day out voucher thingys which i beleive includes lego land which would make it a bit cheaper...
had a great day when we went and got totally soaked
Edit: they have been building some new rides there recently but i dont know how complete they are...
Moneypit:
We used to live down the road from it and finaly went about 3 weeks before we left.
Excellent fun, you could do it in a day but you'll be rushing around.
If it's going to be a nice day, take some towels and some swimming trunks for your lad, there is/was an excellent water play area.
Should also be a chance for your son to get his first driving licence.
Horness:
Sounds great fun - thanks for the replies.
On the web site they are doing a 2 day pass with B&B, for 2 adults and 2 kids, staying at the Holiday-Inn over night is £195. My only worry is the weather.
It's not until August - but you can never tell what it's going to be.
