Financing an SJ
« on: December 07, 2004, 19:14:42 »
A few years ago, I signed up to Carsource, and asked them to tell me when an SJ413 became available for me to buy.

Well, suffice to say not many turned up (although I did get one off a mate, hence sorting that problem out).

Seems they've now started sending me mail saying "Your new Suzuki SJ413, some finance ideas", with a list of links to people who'll do me a loan.

Surely if they'd done their research the finance ideas for an SJ would be something like:

Don't go to the pub quite as often for two or three months
    Get a guitar; go busking
Spend an afternoon washing your neighbours' cars for a fiver a time

You must be very lucky where you live. In the West Country SJs' are getting very hard to come by, and more expensive all the time.
If you think about Series 2 Landys about 10-15 years ago similar thing, the bad ones are cheap and go carefully, the good ones are making good money now. Don't know anyone who lost out on buying a GOOD SJ, they not only keep their value but appreciate...
Mud on the roof and nothing broken!
