why do v8 owners go to the bother and hassle to have snorkels when they can only seem drive through puddles?

Somehow I think the Army would dispute that when they used the 10FC in amphiibious trials.
The 'plimsoll line' was half-way up the windscreen, & that was in the sea, not a wading tank!!!
--- End quote ---
as you say it was a 'trial'
Jake:
The v8's at work have no problems with water

Yes, but it was also done during exercises & therefore accepted practice
Occasionally Craddocks sell waterproofed distributors & HT leads for the V8

would like to see a v8 running underwater , a mere splash from the fan normally plays havoc with them

What't the beef about V8's for ?
Is this another diesel Landy owner showing his inferiority complex about his underpowered ickle engine ?
I would like to know the % of diesel owners with snorkels that go wading with them - not as high as you would like to think
Right - that's my tuppence worth - off out to listen to my lovely V8 burbling - and no it doesn't have a snorkel
