Cheers Stefan. Thats very useful. Did you have to change the engine mounts. Or did the originals fit?

stefan:
I used the original mounts from my 2.5 petrol, should be the same for the NA and turbo diesel too.

Ive just finished this conversion, use the flywheel cover off the 2.5TD engine and all the studs will align with the gear box, the turbo exhaust needs attention as there isnt one that will fit. Check out this,
http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=2394  its what I used and it was really helpful, though it is a pain in the a**e to do!!b If you need any advice PM me.

Sharpshooter:

I must say the same I fit a disco 200tdi into my B Reg 90. I found it was very under geared.....  I am doing a swap with a discovery transfer which ppl say is a bad move but how can it be.... It throws a discovery about so why not a 90.....  Its the transfer box which is the gearing so just keep that in mind if you find it to low geared. BTW its a top conversion.... No more down the gears to get up them big hills..... I also have had mine in a year now and in the first 6 months I was noticing alot of play on the layshaft & Gear...... I have a post up somewhere about my build with some photos....... Will have a look for ya..... BRB
