Bush Tucker Man:
--- Quote from: "Lord Shagg-Pyle" ---
I could go on and on about how many times Police officers, Fire crews, Medical Staff put their lives on the line for YOU, the public and to see things like that written on a forum, is extremely insulting to those who have died, been injured or assaulted in the line of duty.
when you have had to put up with abuse, insults, injury and idiocy from the outside and bureaucratic incompetence and mis-management hoisted on us by an unknowing Government, then perhaps you may just look at things with a different view.
--- End quote ---
NHS management seems to be equally target driven & out of touch with reality.
I'll hold my hand up & admit that my comment; re - gun-shots was meant in a slightly humourous vein in order to guarantee a Police response.
As for staff being assaulted, my collegues have been on the receiving end far too often!
(the last I know of,was an attempted strangulation of a Nurse, the scrote attempted to resist arrest, so was 'batonned')
I have myself have had a broken nose, several kicks & punches, taken a knife off a (thankfully) compliant druggie - I never told SWMBO about that, she'd go bonkers!
Every Friday & Saturday evening can be like a battle-ground, & as for the tales the older staff, Paramedics & attending Police Officers tell us

--- Quote from: "Bush Tucker Man" ---
--- Quote from: "Evilgoat" ---Reported the Chavs using the Industrial Estate as a racetrack on Monday, no helmets/underage caning it round here while some guy in another unit acted as a pitstop.
Phoned 101, was told they take this very seriously and someone would be round in an hour or two. They turned up on Sat when no-one was here :S
I know they try but its just seems like one big joke to people trying to get help. As for not going near veichles till SOCO arrive, they took about 3 days to come and look at the last car I had done over :(

Should have told them you thought you heard a gun-shot, they'd attend a lot quicker then.
After all, you could always realise afterwards that it was one of the cars back-firing.
If a few chavs wet themselves after being surrounded by an Armed Response Squad.. . so be it

i got shot it took my local station 4 hours to send someone out we had the kids and the gun i was bleeding to death an was told to wait for the police to arrive 4 bloody hours is along time to sit there like that so tellin them that you heard a gunshot wont work we had the gun the kids and my bleeding all over the place an still took em 4 hours to get to me. Boggert:
I attended an RTA where a whole family were killed and burnt alive... now even if you think we so a crap job how would like to deal with that? Sorry it bugs me a bit we are paid to save you backsides not kiss them. I've been spat at, kicked, threatened, had a gun pointed at me the list goes on and on... the reason I do it is because every now and then I make a difference.
We are not perfect but we do the best we can and sometimes we are tasked to do things, like it or not.
bilge rat:
