Frontera 'elp needed urgently
« on: May 10, 2007, 21:51:24 »
I know the Bar is not the place normally but this is urgent.

Mate is self employed and relies on his Frontera for work.

He's had a loom fire which is pretty much sorted, drove it home yesterday and noticed indicators weren't working. Sorted that today then went to go to work and the Ignition isn't starting the starter.

Does anyone know where the wire from the ignition switch  to the starter runs and what colours it is? It's a Diesel P reg if it helps.

He wants to try early doors to feed a new wire to the starter but if he can locate it and splice it first to save removing all the engine tray then that would help him. The immobiliser / alarm died a while back so isn't an issue.

There is power at the ign switch both in and out.

If any one wishes to PM me for obvious reasons then my mate would be more greatful.

Tell him to name the engine size and it will get fixed at that age its likely to be an Isuzu 2.8 or the VM 2.5

Oh and name his location as thee could be a member nearby that can help  :D
