Do I, Don't I

--- Quote from: "marjan" ---I'm not a Landy man myself but when I was thinking of buying a Disco all my Landy buddies said to avoid the TD5 and go for a good P or R plate TDi 300.

I guess they must know what they are on about as they have all had Disco's for years  :?

Possibly, or possibly not. Like many with "older" landies they might just have herd the rumor that TD5's are unreliable and unfixable, which is tripe - the TD5 was in production for longer than either the 200tdi or 300tdi which in itsself speaks volumes, are becoming popular in the challenge scene who are generally really keen on beat with a hammer to fix mentality cos its easy!

You'll find those who have tried and owned a TD5 love them, the others are just scared of moving forward, its not that complex...even the late 300tdi had an ecu!

im with you smo,
i love the td5, aint had one yet, but will have by feb 08

all the rhumors are pish, most of the teathing problems are elimiated now
and even the odd ones that crop up, dont cost the earth to rectify,
at least there no timing belt to snap on a td5

Snooky:

extreme90:
