3.5 EFi Stalling Please help

UPDATE
Now it won't even start!!! :(
My 1986 3.5 EFi auto has developed a rather terminal problem. It will start from cold with no problem at all and runs absolutly fine. BUT, after only 2 to 3 minutes, as it warms up, the revs will reduce slightly and then eventually die. I have repeated this and tried revving it as the idle dies down and it will back fire through the aircleaner like a good-un. It will then die.
It is not the fuel. Recently had a new fuel pump and filter. New dizzy cap, rotar and plugs. Swapping the ECU makes no difference either. Leads replaced last year (rr hardly used, only 3000 miles/year). It is not the over-run shutoff valve as this would not allow idle after starting.
Any idea's?
DaveS:
Has the vacuum advance pipe split or come off?
chiboy:
:D Had same prob with my old rangie it was the air flow meter
jjsaul:
Is it LPG? (or has it been at some point)?
Rossko:
"It is not the fuel. Recently had a new fuel pump and filter" mm, wouldn't bet on that. The disturbance may have kicked up sediment, and/or a pipe may have got kinked, or an electrical connector loosened off.
Another contender is the engine temp sensor (there is one for the dashboard gauge and another one for the ECU, so even if the gauge reads sensibly it doesn't prove the ECU isn't thinking it's +200C). The manuals tell you how to check for a sensible resistance reading with a meter.
'fraid I'd bet on airflow sensor too!
good luck, Ross K
