few problems with my rangy....
greatbignath:
hi. cheers for the replies.
i live in bolnhurst if you know where that is....
it is an a reg, had 13 owners so lord noes what is left of the original that came out the factory!!!!
it is a bit of a project (got mot tho so must be good........), bought it for my first 4x4, slowly getting more inclined to hurry up and put the v6 in the womans IIa lwb........
its not lifted. ill have a better look tomorrow see if i can see any thing.
it is well over due for a birthday, it needs new front springs as the standard wheels sit almost in the archs and new shocks all round i recon.... lack of funds means it is staying as it is for the moment (till next month).....
Range Rover Blues:
It needs that front suspension sorting before you can really expect anything other than bad handling.
If it's still on 205 tyres then the OEM shocks are ok, and cheap as the proverbial.
Next up are Monroe, a good unprgrade but the back ones tend to fail
Or ProComp, my preference, or DeCarbon, I've also used with success, both for around £35 a corner.
Yes I know you said springs but both really need doing, police spec springs will give you a small amount of lift and set you back £60 ish
In the meantime do check those bushes.
bezzabsa:
I have a standard set of springs here if it'd help - green stripe.
bezzabsa:
out of interest - if theres atranny lump under the bonet - and your still on V8 shocks and springs then that'd put everything out as the lumps are differing weights - tranny i sheavier.. so try some disco shocks and springs - from a tdi.. MAY help!
or get tracking and caster set up..also try the silly things like tyre pressures - and swap front to back wheels around.. all free and simple mods (If they work - lol)
Range Rover Blues:
Tranny engine/V8 springs, missed that one. Obvious really
