rear recovery point

(1/2) > >>

bilge rat:
can some one point me in the right direction about rear recovery points. would like to keep the original tow bar and ball on for towing, but have heard that the towball is not too good as the rope can slip off the ball. did wonder about a dixon bate set up with ball and pin ,or is there something else i can mount at the top end of the tow bracket. cheers alan......

Budgie:
Try Towsure, Matt Savage or Witter's to get you started.
Or you could go for Jate Rings on the chassis.

landroverkeith:
i went for jate rings    lol but couldnt get the bolt out from the tow plough set up lol so there still sat in the shed

Range Rover Blues:
If you are leeping the standard tow-bar then fit a Dixon Bates combined pin/ball hitch, known as the @pinball Wizard'

The Mayploe copy is about £50 in Towsure.

I'd found most if not all towrope hooks are secure on the pin, plus strops will fit in in nicely and the breakawy cable on the 'van too.

Plus if you leave the pin in the glovebox when it's hitched they are also a good fit on the Alko-Kober hitch-stabiliser that I love so dearly (not  ).

Lewis Bernard:
a really cheap option is to slide a u shackle below the tow ball, i have found it useful before!
