I found that with the lift on the VM RRC to tow a trailer the towball had to be in its lowest position which made it increadably vunerable off raod so i always had to move it up to the top holes before pay and plays etc. If you end up doing the same then you could always buy a hitch like a NATO and just fit it before you do serious off road.

It may sound like a lot of efforct but its no more than a 5 minuit job (most of which is spent getting the socket set out) whalst changing wheels/tyres.

Range Rover Blues:
I used to have a NATO but I found that some trailers wouldn't hitch up to the 50mm ball with the NATO above them.

Now I have a Southdwon with interchangeable brackets.

You havnt still got them and if so would you consider selling them?

really need me tow plough for ocasional towing, but went to the local car boot this morning and picked up a dixon bate ball and pin set up rated at 3500kg, brand new in the bag never fitted. 20 quid. like a kid in a sweet shop . couldnt beleive me luck. cheers alan.....
