I'm new to driving off road with the jeep wrangler, please advise on when to use high low gear ratios

Seriously though have you an owners manual...if so there is a section in there which explains things and you have pm.. :wink:

Oh and don't change into low range whilst the Wrangler is moving

If you don't know how to use you gears correctly just get yourself to a club meet and watch and learn. It is good to ask if in doubt because if you don't know what you are doing it can be very dangerous. Don't be put off but at least be safe.

yup tis true go to a club event and have a chat and dont be afraid to ask what may seem a stupid question there are several jeep forums/clubs
