Would a 265/75R16 Bfg Mud terrain fit on a standard 90 and what do they look like? Anyone got any pics?

Yes they fit, and they look just right, take a peek in my gallery for examples of my (ex) TD5 90 CSW with 265/75 BFG's and standard suspension :)

Just a quick question - what rims are you wanting to run them on?

The alloys are fine, but the standard 90 steels are too narrow.

Can't tell from the avatar what rims you're on!

will 265/75 tyres rub on a 300tdi 90? even on full lock? and they fill the arches up well yes? on standard suspention i mean? x

YES they rub, i run them on my 90 and yes they rub, but only on full lock. and about rubbing the inside of the arches, well, sort of, but only if you are using the suspension big time.

285/s do too, in fact probably more so.
but the 265/s dont unless you are using the suspension (i mean offroad)

285 mud BFG's on a 110 with 25mm spacer

Just legal (no tread excluding sidewall viewable from above)

Fit 255/85 16's. Get diff clearance of 33.5" tyre, with slightly better turning circle.

On standard height these will slightly rub on rear plastic arches at the bottom on each side. This can easily be solved with a slight trim.

Cheers guys for the info, so i want bfg mudterrains on boost alloys, what size will fill the arches and not rub? the veihcle in question is a landrover 90 300tdi. xx

LR alloys are not good as the have a small off-set.

By 'rub' do you mean radius arms on turning front wheels or wheel arches when off-road? If former, you can stop any size from rubbing by adjusting steering lock stops, downside is your turning circle is reduced.

If you plan to use it off road a lot I wouldn't put alloys on. Sell them and fit MT's with steel modulars that have a decent offset. Sell the alloys on ebay. If you want it for looks only do what you like.

cheers steve, much appreciated. Yeh i use it for work so i dont do serious off roading, just the odd greenlane. I wanted the wheels and tyres fitted to the td5 landrover from the factory, are they boost alloys? what size would these be? xx

The latest Defender models with alloys are on Boost alloys. The come from the factory shod with 235/85 16 General Grabber TR which is a road biased Snow and Mud tyre.

Here's mine on exactly that size. Heavy duty springs and shocks fitted which lifted it about 1.5 inches
