britpart clutch
extreme90:
--- Quote from: "Leslie Henson" ---Valeo do a 130 clutch plate. It's identifiable by the extra shock springs on it . I recommend and use only Borg & Beck clutches, So I would personally choose a valeo 130 clutch plate, Borg & Beck clutch cover, plus you should replace the clutch fork - get it strengthened as well.

Had a valeo clutch, on a Corsa of all things, pop a cush drive spring after 50 miles due to a cracked hub plate the other week - it was a valeo and looking at it I can see why the thing went, the stamping of the plates was rubbish - must have been done with a pastry cutter. I'd go for B&B over valeo, used them for years and never had any problems with them but I'd still go for Valeo over sh1tpart, no experience of 'em clutch wise as they haven't started coming through the system at work yet, but I just don't like their stuff, its crap.
Not really adding much to the original question, just thought I'd mention it........
Range Rover Blues:
I've fitted 2 B&B clutches to the V8 in as many years, first time you give them any grief and they start to slip.
I've had enough, later this year I'm planning to drop an Auto in
stageonesimmo:
Dont know if they are still around but AP did a racing clutch, (4 arm, paddle type thing, looked like a windmill), for the V8 - we used them in SNATCH defendersfor years - very good, handled an up-armoured 110 driven by a thick squaddie who wasnt paying to get it fixed with no dramas so should handle anything else with ease, cheaper and easier than an auto-box surely?....
Range Rover Blues:
Wish I'd known that when I put the last one in. TBH it's a combination of things, I've really gonbe of the Sherpa van box, I've got a newer engine and it comes with an auto box, so it's gonna be the cheapest and easiest option.
Plus my knees aren't what they were and I'll find cruise control a bonus.
