Took the Pinkie on its first off road trip on Sun. Boy does she handle the rough stuff well, just need to build up a bit more confidence in the driver and we will be sorted.. :D

Here are a few action shots and a few arty shots for you. (it looks alot tamer in the shots than it actually is!!!)

It is real, though not 100% original. I got it from a scrappy after it had already been broken up into its alli and steal components using a grinder. The Chassis had been destroyed.

I put it back together using all the bits that were left from this pinkie. For the bits that were damaged or destroyed I used original partas off of other pinkies or new. The chassis was brand new glover webb heavy duty chassis out of stores.

It is into that age old argument of triggers broom   3 handles and 4 heads but the same broom.

personally i dont care, I am sat on the original seat, steering by the original steering wheel of MY pinkie. It is the closest I am gonna get to an as realeased vehicle and I love it.... so there!

Nice truck.

Its also very nice to see one getting an outing in the rough stuff for a change!  Nice one!

Just had a thought - That snatch rope at the front, whilst its a genuine bit of improvisation, I've got a very well used issue webbing snatch stop a'la WOLF that would do the same job, look better and is NSN'd.  Yours for the postage if you want it.

Also, in your other post I notice some connector boxes along the dash rail under the center section - they the smoke lobber switches?
Son, life has a habit of kicking you in the ass and i only have vague recollections of when it wasn't kickin mine!

its an excellent land rover that, i really like it. who gives a toss if its not 100% original, theres much more important things than that - main thing being that you're pleased with it, and i would be too ;)

make sure you look after it... its worth more than money that thing!
