air bag warning light
« on: April 04, 2007, 16:10:53 »
hi guys the wifes uncle has just bought a wooden steering wheel that he wants me to fit to his 1997 Pajero Exeed the only problem is that his standard wheel is fitted with an air bag   , surely this will leave a light on, on the dashboard once the air bag has been disconnected to fit the wooden steering wheel  :?  is there any way around this happening?

Or wire it to the oil light :)

Any reason you want to remove a perfectly good bit of saftey equipt just to put a flash wheel in. Air bags DO work and save lives you know :)

theres a thread in the Defender/Disco section about something similar.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

I'm sure theres a legal side to changing the wheel, some part must not be changed for the MOT, not sure.

The dash has to come out to do it:) have fun, oh and you'll find all the stuff thats fallen in there over there years, we found a jap creit card :)
