Easy solution to all this, Drive on Trade plates!
   Cheaper than taxing the car!

Don't talk to me about Trade Plates!!  Some theiving scum has half hinched mine out of a coach window, I left them in parked in our yard and now they have gone

OK, so if I am right, then my 1988 2.5TD will only cost £180 per year

Or am I totally off the mark, if this is the case, then I am happy now

Yup thats right.

Whats most annoying for me is that my TDCI Mondeo that is used everyday costs £135 whilst my little Vitara which I only use every other weekend costs £180.

I still reckon that it would be fairer to put it all on fuel so that those that use most fuel (either by size or mileage) and therefore wear out the road more would pay more tax.

And before you all have a go at me, my Vitara only does 22MPG with the M/T's on.
