But as i read it, i am band F as my Landy was registered after 1st March 2001 and before 23rd march 2007. Do i read right or am i band G??

I just worked the wifes 03 Freelander TD4 to £205 so I think you are - or we are both wrong :) Trusty old Elmo gets a £ one hundred and eighty which is kinda bizarre given that (a) its 2.5L (ish) and (b) its an older engine (200 TDI) and therefore I would imagine less "green".
Can't wait to tell her in the morning though :) :) :) :)

248 CO2 is band G but the new rates only apply to vehicles registered after 23 March 06 (I think that's when the band came in)
Band F (186-225 CO2) is a £15 increase on petrol and £10 on diesels and alternative fuel.
