probably means they're "updating" their servers and yours will commit suicide inthe next few days! apparently, according to their service status this is, "All systems are stable and running."

yeah right, you bunch of yank muppets!

mine wouldn't log back on when I swapped to my laptop but I tried webmessenger & got online ok

I've now logged onto Live Messenger ok - but I'm not risking logging off again

I had a similar problem yesterday but not for as long - it seems to be since they did the updates

they have multiple servers which seem to vary for different email addresses... ie. my passport account might be on server 1, yours might be on server 2.... so when they update them one at a time it kicks some off but not the rest, and vice versa!

someone (not on here...) mentioned icq the other day - i randomly remembered my icq number, which i havent used for 6 years!

they were basically pointing out that it took msn 5 whole years longer to feature offline messaging than icq... amongst other things!

i downloaded it and logged in.... quite unsuprisingly i thought it was pointless waiting for anyone to sign in on my list after 6 years of desertion! :D

you're right though... icq was reliable!
