What The Industrial Revolution Did For Us
Hubs:
The series kicked off this evening and it was really fascinating. Having lived not far from the china clay pits in Cornwall for a couple of years I never knew they used water to mine it.
I was confused at one stage as to where the thread was going but in the end it completed the circle very nicely.
Look forward to next week - although I will probably be on bed duty

Too right! After working all day, coming home and cooking dinner and bathing the kids, I put the little one to bed whilst he watched it!
Is it repeated anywhere you think?
Bush Tucker Man:
Haven't had chance to watch it as 'little 'un' had 'dual point ejection' last night, taped but not watched.
That's as well as some thieving bast**ds trying to nick my caravan, got a phone-call at about 15:30 from the chap who's land it's stored on.
He'd been out with his son to pick up a Ford Transit, on return the gate was open. So they went in and there was a Land River (of all things!!) parked in front of my 'van.
On seeing Chris approaching all 3 calmly got into it & drove off waving at him.
They'd had the oxy-acetelene torch on it & had cut through both wheel-clamps, wound all the corner-steadies up, handbrake off & must've been disturbed whilst finishing the hitch-lock off as it was partially cut.
BASTIDS!!!!!!!
So it neccesitated a quick dash to 'WandaHomes' at Ferrybridge for a new clamp.Picked it up, went to the till. In my rush I'd left my wallet at home.
B*gger!!!!!
So I went to where we bought the 'van from, phoning SWMBO en-route & she gave plastic details & it was ready when I got there.
So it's been moved this afternoon to storage elsewhere.
Two minutes more & it'd have been gone.
Not a good day at all :(
Bush Tucker Man:
Managed to watch it earlier this evening, very interesting - if a little circuitous with the Tea/pottery conections.
I look forward to the forthcoming 5 episodes with interest.

are they repeating this series anywhere else on BBC?
I've missed the second one too now...
