Wot're they worth...
« on: March 04, 2007, 17:52:29 »
Got a set of five Compomotive six spoke alloys - 7J16, complete with the right wheel nuts and locking wheel nuts, fit early 90 (i.e. they fit on mine, with drum brakes okay). A few minor scrapes and scratches, but otherwise in good nick - spare is brand new - never been on the car, I think. No tyres fitted - bare wheels.

I was thinking around £175 for the set of 5 - does this sound reasonable? Thinking of putting 'em up for sale in the next few days... so would appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks

No piccies handy - I'll get some tomorrow and post 'em. Basically they have six smooth spokes kinda curving out from the centre.

Think they have about 3.5" offset - I'm changing them for wheels with for more offset, as I've gone up to 265/75/16 Insas, so lost some of my turning circle (and I don't like spacers).

See above - I think they are 3 or 3.5" from memory. I'm moving up to 4.5" to get my steering back!!!!

They're called Compomotive VS i think.

Would you be interested in splitting the locking nuts?
I'm after a set, i can include some replacement standard nuts in the deal.

PM me please.

To be honest its not really worth splitting em - you can get locking nuts from Paddocks cheap enough.... Would appreciate any other comments re price?!?

wouldn't you know the bottom has fallen out of the market on that particular style of wheel in the last 3 days due to a sudden influx of other alloy wheels from Asia.................I'll do you a favour (and lose money myself, cos i'm nice like that) and offer you 50 quid cash just to get them out your garage lol

i could only find locking nuts to fit standard LR alloys...and IIRC the compomotive alloys (and my dragon ones) have a smaller diameter shaft.
Don't remember seeing paddocks selling them unless someone would like to point me at the right products....

As for comments on price the set i have are also for sale but from memory they might well be 15"....
