broken bleed nipple
discomac:
i need to bleed my discos brakes after replacing the front disks and pipes and pads all round, but when i tried to un do the bleed nipples on the back calipers the nut part fell apart, any advice on un doing them? i dont suppose u can bleed the brakes without them could you?any advice would be great.
hobbit:
Two things you can do, remove the calipre and try to drill out the broken nipple, if that fails or you domt fancy trying, its a replacement calipre, either second hand or new, be carefu when trying to undo the pipe, give it a clean down with a wire nrush and spray of easing oil, and slacken off carefully, it may have the nut stuck onto the pipe and tear it out
winchman:
Dont laugh but you can get left handed drill bits, the advantage being that as you drill the bolt its trying to unscrew it as well and often come out before you drill all the way through it.

I would use this, works 99% of the time
