broken bleed nipple
electricbluebadger:
get some stud extractors.. about a fiver a set, effectively reverse threaded drill bits with a square top you can get a spanner on. wind into the hole in the nipple itll get it out..they taper so as you screw in presseure increases
Cheers Steve
Tyke:
Get it sorted . . . . it's safety critical . . . . . 'extractors' might do the job.
A 'bodge' might cure it in the short term but to be honest the brakes are probably the most important system on the truck . . . . . for both for your own and others safety . . . . on or off road.
discomac:
hi guys, had another go at those bleed nipples, they wont budge,so i bled the brakes off via the pipe goin into the caliper, theres no air,but when i stand on the brake peddle it slowly creeps down, any ideas guys?
hairyasswelder:
Has it got 3 bleed nipples on the front? If so bleed the top/middle one last.
Oh, stud extractors have a square top for a tap wrench
Steve
discomac:
ye its got three, they are all fine, its the back calipers that are the problem,i take it when the brake peddle creeps down under pressure it means there is air in the system?cos i cant see any leaks.
