RangeyV8, I see you are in Collier Row, if you are interested in a local Land Rover club, Brentwood LROC is a friendly, small club thatmeets on a tuesday night at the Tower Arms, South Weald, Brentwood, around 8pm. We have a pint and a chat, some evening greenlaning locally and some weekends, some not so local.

Shouldn't have Lambdas then.  The later V8s were tuned for 95 RON octane, so I'm suspicious that super unleaded will make a great difference without re-tuning ie timing, but it's possible it does burn better :?

If you use super then set the 3.9 dizzy to 6 deg IIRC, 4 deg for a cat equiped vehicle which has a different TSR on the EFi loom so slightly different fueling.

Thanks for that, will have a go at it this week,
Dave

Difflock:

--- Quote from: "Difflock" ---Dave,as has been said try running it on super unleaded, expensive I know but worth a try,My bike goes like the wind on the stuff but seems to hesitate now and again on normal, but then again I can tank her up for £11

Ere,just tanked the bike up again on super,Ere make that £15.50

The flame burn speed on super is much better than regular and I think its rated at 98/99 RON hence the possible "NEW" engine feel

You could check the spark plug leads, i done this last night when it was dark. I could see two leads arking onto the engine. So i hope thats all that will be causing the stuttering. And as for tesco petrol, i was shopping in tesco yesterday, talking to the checkout staff, they said that they wouldnt use tesco petrol!
