its one thing after another!!!!
« on: March 01, 2007, 18:09:11 »
Right after finally getting myself a range rover again :)

i travelled 200 miles to get it and made it back perfectly fine.

Took it out on a few local lanes and the electrics shorted due to a dodgy engine earth.

so had to buy a new battery as it melted the old one, re-wired all the earths around the engine.

sorted nice quick fix,

Took it to work and the handbrake had decided to stop working, not found out why yet though, its not vital.

now today i replaced the alternator belt as it was a bit worn and slack and now the alternator is siezed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have only had it 5 days and its been off the road for 3 of them now.......

Took it to work and the handbrake had decided to stop working, not found out why yet though, its not vital.

- After the battery earth, the handbrake cable can be the next best thing and may have melted itself when your battery went south

Handbrake cable, yes it's a bit fiddly,  When you come to put the new one on I suggest that whichever end you fit first puit it together as loose as you can, the second end is always a bit of a PITA.
