« on: February 21, 2007, 18:03:45 »
It,s a mitsubishi 2.5 td on a k plate. Fitted new cylinder head, gaskets, bolts valves re-cut 6 months ago. Dad phoned said it was white smoking abadly and bubbling over. Is this a know fault or do you think it,s just a faulty head

Hi

im affraid the head/ head gasket on the 2.5 does seem to be the weak link on these models im affraid    its the same on the 2.5 toyotas to, i belive its born from the fact that for some reason the jap often do not use antifreeze/ inhibitors in there engines  :?  this takes its toll as the engines get older, a new head is available from milners off road and if you are a member of pajero uk you should get a discount ;)

if not try clicking on the pajerouk banner in my signiture to join its free ;)
