I was massively impressed with the Belgian Police who attended the scene.
They first listened to the independent witness, who had to jam his brakes on to avoid running us both over! as we had been thrown from the bike into the fast lane.
Then he listened to me, the best I could muster...I was in shock pretty much.
My experience of incidents abroad, and there has been a few, is brilliant.
I must say that in the UK the authorities on the whole are very unhelpful, to the extent of breathalysing you in the back of an ambulance!....But I just put this down to the UK culture and their general mistrust of anything on two wheels.
If you are going to have a bike accident, have it abroad, they treat you like a human being and not a criminal.
--- End quote ---

I must say that I have always bagged  people after accidents, and in the ambulance if necessary, and it has produced a fair number of results, but then I suppose I could always not bag them and then get my a*se chewed at court by the lawyer for the  victim who had been hit by the drink driver.

Att. All I ask is if you have a gripe with the way that the Authorities, by which I presume you mean, the Police, deal with something, then complain. There is a correct procedure and your complaint will be listened to.
But, please do not generalise. There will always be those in any walk of life who are useless, but not all are.

Of course, you are correct.
Just that when you see a mate been breathalysed who had half a privit hedge sticking into his guts and was hardly able to blow, thus causing him pain.....Goes a tad beyond the call of duty in my book.

I speak from personal experience because that is all I have.

I understand the reasons for it...But there has to be a limit.

......Anyways, I am a happy bunny. :D
