There is Justice...

(1/2) > >>

att:
In July last year my wife and myself were knocked from our bike....On purpose. The incident occured on a motorway in Belguim, the offending driver...who was driving a Volvo was Dutch.
He did not like us filtering through the traffic.

My lawyer has told me that the Police report is unusually damning towards the Dutch driver and that he is being commited for criminal proceedings at a Belgian court.
The witness statement mirrors my own and we are very hopeful for a positive result.

I have ever only been concerned with revenge / justice, my lawyer knows this and so called me today to inform me that we will have to attend court :D

I am so incredibly happy that this jerk has not got away with nearly killing us. :D ......God I am happy. :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

I was massively impressed with the Belgian Police who attended the scene.
They first listened to the independent witness, who had to jam his brakes on to avoid running us both over! as we had been thrown from the bike into the fast lane.
Then he listened to me, the best I could muster...I was in shock pretty much.
My experience of incidents abroad, and there has been a few, is brilliant.
I must say that in the UK the authorities on the whole are very unhelpful, to the extent of breathalysing you in the back of an ambulance!....But I just put this down to the UK culture and their general mistrust of anything on two wheels.
If you are going to have a bike accident, have it abroad, they treat you like a human being and not a criminal.

Whooa there...

Maybe  the fact that breathalising every driver after a collision is deemed a proportionate response be European courts says something about British drivers & Drink?

No, the Uk culture in context with motorcyclists is the worse there is.
I have had the good fortune to ride motorcycles in most countries and it is only the UK that has this awful attitude towards us.
You think 4X4 drivers have a hard time of it, you should try riding a motorcycle once in a while.

In fact, come to think of it, the UK is a very fascist state when it comes to road use and motorists, I just wish we would all wake up to it.

At least the French still have their own testicles.
