Will 7.50 fit Disco alloys
Cheggs:
Hi,
this is probably a Numpty question but will 7.50 tyres fit on standard disc/rrc rims, as I'm skint and need some tyres, I have 5 wrangler M+s 7.50 in VGC and could get them changed over for vertually nothing, how would this affect the handling of my discovery, I take it i need bigger bump stops, I'd grate ful of any input.

ChrisW:
Yes they will fit no problem, should not affect the vehicle at all.
However, the minimum 2" lift, extended brake lines, rear arch trimming, possible front bumper trimming and adjusting the lock stops to get them to fit on the car may have an effect.
Cheggs:
Thanks for that, according to the Tyre fitting guide i'd have to adjust the steering stops and bump stops, so I shall have to save up and buy a couple of new Tyres.

You don't need a lift kit or extended bump stops to fit 7.50 tyres, just do like Camel did through out the 90's, which was a simple trim to the rear wheel arch. Just do a search for 'Camel cut' for full details.
ChrisW:
That is true, however the tyre size used on Camel Trophy Discoverys was 7.00x16 not 7.50x16.
