LPg and snorkle?

<< < (2/2)

Ralph:

--- Quote from: "Range Rover Blues" ---Forget all this ram air nonsense, the physical length of the air intake is causing a slightly higher vacuum at the LPG collar so it's running rich.  All I do is remove the front plate of the filter if I'd not expecting to go swimming and it runs a treat.
--- End quote ---

No nonsense, actual fact.

There are a lot of fools about

Range Rover Blues:
Oh, right then

barnhill4x4:
The snorkle is facing back, I put it on like that to stop ram air as I realised this was bad for LPG, I suppose the vacuum theory makes sence. So in effect, when the engine isn't burning the fuel it is being sucked the wrong way out of the intake?
I think I will just do as RRB suggests and keep the cover off unless I need it.
I never would have though it would make that much difference to the consumption but now I understand how. Thanks

jjsaul:
at least its cleared up...i will be running lpg/snorkel soon
