Thieving scumbags
ne jones:
i've just enjoyed a really pleasant evening @ a friends home.
Good company good whisky good food, in that order.
Hes just bought his first ever Land Rover and was obviously over the moon with his purchase. I drove it, its very nice a Disco 300, a big difference to my Disco 200 in terms of refinement.
Anyway i've just got home to find that one of my rubber wheel arches has been nicked off my Disco.
How do I know it was nicked? Cause this afternoon i've checked the security of the rubber wheelarch extensions and added extra silicone to one on the opposite side.
Also the one thats gone missing wasnt only siliconed into place but also screwed into place from the interior of the door.
I hate the way some people think its OK to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A sign of the times i'm sure.

why am i not suprised to hear the above? my dad had his 110 for a single day before someone stole the near side wing mirror off it

After my divorce in 2000 I was a bit skint (mainly through celebrating)
I had an old metro I bought for £150 turbo too :D
One hungover morning I looked out and a guy was kneeling on the bonnet unscrewing the aerial on the roof  , needless to say I was out there , and there where dents in the bonnet, not from him , but when his head accidental made contact with it while I was trying to restrain him
An hour later, police at my door, very friendly, arrested ME for assault .
Long and short was, if I didn't press charges against him for criminal damage , he wouldn't press charges against me for assault
I know the police are between a rock and a hard place with this type of thing, but it begs the question, even if you do catch them what are you supposed to do :?

Only use 'reasonable force' to restrain them...
If his head had just bounced off the bonnet once whilst you dragged him off, surely that would have merely been because he pulled away as you grabbed him and he slipped.......
You'd just have t mkae sure that that one bounce did the same damage to him as two or three  :D
Guardian.:
so you not allowed to cellotape them in a chair and keep hitting them with a golf club then?
or can i if i only do it once.
then with a shovel once.
then with a cricket bat once.
then with my boot once.
easier just to buy some pigs, thatl sort this counties scum out.
