I think I'm getting old.

I remember a winter of 198(something) when we were living in a caravan at the time (parents were renovating an old bard).  One nights worth of snow was enough to mean we couldn't get out of the caravan to go to the outside bog.

We still made it to school, walking home after the snow plough had been through leaving 10' high walls of snow on the side of the road.

Definately "when I were 'lad"  :D

Lucky [!Expletive Deleted!] those children are.  I never got a day off from poor weather at school... even if the place was at freezing temperatures we still had to go in and wore coats and warm clothing and the day went on as normal.  :lol:
