why do people insist on posting the item number, rather than just posting the url of the listing? really bugs me!

PS THIS IS NOT AIMED AT ANYONE IN PARTICULAR, SO DONT GET YOUR KNICKERS IN A TWIST! :shock:

some people do not know how to cut and paste :o so find it much easier to go the long winded way of writing the number down  :wink:  i did it for a while :lol:

sometimes the who link is huge and its a case of scrolling across the screen when the url is posted as the forum is wider if a line of text is longer than standard and has no punctuation (i think im right here)

some forums abbreviate when you post urls ive seen about

If you use a slightly different syntax, then the scrolling's not a problem:

Instead of:
Code: [Select]
[url]www.mud-club.com[/url]
Which looks like this:
http://www.mud-club.com
Try:
Code: [Select]
[url=www.mud-club.com]Mud Club[/url]
Which looks like:
Mud Club
