ANd the only auto I like to drive.
Anyone know if different models were set up differently? ie 3.9 vs 4.2 etc? TDi should be lower reving obviously.
disco-v8:
im nearly 100% sure that the disco1 3.9 EFI and disco2 4.0 use the same box and torque converter
on the other other sized engines the box is the same but the only difference is that the torque converters are smaller, and that the 3.9's are usualy none electric boxes but some of the other range are electric (something like that)
im not sure about the TDI tho, but it wud make sense for this to be sltly different as there is more low down torque
what about the early 3.5 auto boxes what code are these as im after a replacement for mine.......
ive also read that the zf 4hp22 box is only rated at about 260ft lb but the early 3 speed boxes that where designed for the buick engines could stand upto 1000ft lb (about).......
so another question is???? will this 3 speed fit my engine????
