Is there much difference between Climair and EGR deflectors? (other than Cliimair being double the price)

The way they fit.
Climair just slot into the window channel.
EGR have clips that are pushed in behind the channel and then they are bolted to the deflector. The deflector has a seal where it meets the window frame.

I've got the EGR ones on the Disco, mainly cos they were cheaper than the Climair ones at Billing.
The y have put up with the abuse of three Belgium Nationals and a few other trips and, although scratched, are still in position and not cracked.  :D

I had the Climair ones on my 90 and they were just as good TBH, although I did manage to crack the edge of one when I put it on, not a problem with the EGR's.

Hmm - so since you can get a new set of 4 EGRs for under £40 quid, theres not much point paying that for s/hand Climairs on ebad.
