makin film clips from dvd

i conect dvd camcorder to my dvd recorder not pc then play it on the pc dvd re-writer to clip it for event pix and short clips if i can ever sort the jumping out

With the camcorder you should have two leads, other than the Red, White & yellow one to connect to a video/DVD recorder. These will be a USB and a Firewire cable.
Try downloading the video into the PC direct from the camcorder and not through the DVD player. It could be that there is something about the DVD recording that the PC playback doesn't like.
As SYL said, use the Firewire cable to download. If your PC is less than 3 - 4 years old then you should have a Firewire connection on the back of the PC, near the USB terminals.
I also use the Ulead program but for simple clips etc then Microsoft Movie Maker will do the trick. :wink:

syl just been and lookt at my dvd camcorder it dont have a firewire conection so thats chuffed it :cry:

The Firewire cable plugs into your DV outlet on the camera, well it does on my Sony DCR-TRV265 anyway. :wink:

i got a canon dc95
lookt on fleabay not showing one on there and nuffin in the box except the usuall red/white and yellow pluged wires for conecting to tv and such
