makin film clips from dvd

<< < (5/5)

strapping young lad:
riiight so its a dvd camcorder whereby you record then burn straight to dvd on the camera itself, hence from what i can see it has no outputs (why would it!)

so... to capture it onto your pc from a dvd could take a bit longer but is doable

you could get imtoo dvd to mp4 converter (google for imtoo) where it rips the dvd into relevant sections, then it converts them to mp4

now i dont know whether the mp4 format is accepted by youtube but its an option you could try

the conversion does take a while cos its copying from dvd

--- Quote from: "abyssdj" ---what you wanna look for is a frame rate setting. it will most likely be in the export settings, where you choose what type of file you want to export the video to, etc. needs to be around 25-30 fps to be what you'd find on tv.  the lower the fps, the more jumpy it will be

right guys had a wonder round windvd

quick clip settings
width =240 pixels
height=180 pixels
capture interval=200ms
play speed=500ms

Stoopid question, it is set to PAL isnt it??
and if theres an AUTO setting try that!

AbyssDJ:
my money is on the "capture interval" being the retarded way of saying "framerate". mess with the capture interval and playback speed, and i wouldnt mind betting that you'll get a bit further with it
