mad mik:
Hi don't know if this has been posted before but, i would like front facing seats for the back of a defender 90, truck cab converted to hard top, the ones that fold up. can any one help and tell me where to look.

bigfatsi:
I think it was Exmoor that were selling them but they were extortionate prices!

07DefenderSeb:
Exmoor do do the best ones not made by LR.

When i was ordering the 110 recently, I was offered the new fold up forward facing ones. I declined as I don't have 48 children to carry. Dealer told me that if i changed my mind they are £400 per pair, leather or cloth and bolt in easy-peasy.

Exmoors cost about the same but look flimsy (in my humble opinion).

Here's what they look like...

Snooky:
I am about to put some of the cheaper ones in mine, they were originally from Exmoor, via another member, they now say not safe for child seats, although they seemed happy enough about it before the new regs came in.
I won't be off roading with anyone in them or doing any distance, just for throwing the kids in to take the dog out etc so as far as I'm concerned they will be fine, will also mount them closer to the sides than normal as suggested by someone on here, not so good for adults but fine for the kids

I fitted the exmoor trim ones to my 90 hard top. They were good seats but you have to fold one down at a time so can be a pest if you put two adults in the back. One has to go in and sit then put the second seat down while the second passenger is standing with their rear end over the cubby box. The biggest thing though is the seatbelt arrangement. you need to, or are supposed to, bolt the seat belt buckles to the floor inbetween the seats. This is fine until you throw some rubble in the back and smash the buckles. I did think about laying in a false floor to cover the buckles but then the seats don't sit down properly and if you remove the false floor then what do you do with it.
