Range Rover Blues:
Split rims used to need a tube and also a spat to cover the split.  It's more improtant what sort of tyre you have, as rims are usuallu either/or.

Tubeless tyres should never have tubes in them, oftne theinnner surface is patterned and these patterns will chaffe the tube causing punctures.  Also the tyre will behhave differently in a rapid deflation or blowout, with a tube it could be unsafe.

Also the heat dissipation will be different.

Tubes only in tubed tyres.
