Snorkel for Freelander

<< < (2/3) > >>

Mantec one is good and easy to fit but you will have to modify it to make it water tight. The other one showen is from spain.Good looking snorkel but i worked it out from the euro price and it would cost in the reion of four hundred and thirty pounds. ouch !!!

CJ:
Bearmach are doing a freelander raised intake, seems round about £230 quid though

It doesnt look too hard to make though, its only 2.5 inch tube, id be tempted to go to a stainless exhaust centre, we have a longlife stainless center, and get them to make it up for you....

I had one made for a toyota, very simular shape to the freelander, in stainless for 120 inc VAT ....

Cheers Chris

ps the Bearmach part number is BFA 6004, in the brand new silver catalogue...

how did you do it?  Do you have a Xedi or a Td4?

n22aps:
Hi Jens i see you also post on the Mad Freelanders forum.Fitting wasn`t to bad .To make it as water tight as possible you have to silicon the holes up in the os inner wing.My technician who fitted the snorkle did so  by leaving the wing in position and removing the arch liner which made the job easier for him.Used an air saw to cut the hole in the inner wing.Have attached a photo of the finished job.Oh and before i get to carried away its a TD4.......

Jens:
thanks!

did you do something with your ECU?  Is this waterproof too?
(and is this a 40 or a 50mm lift?)
