Snorkel for Freelander

Hi this is a 40mm lift and to be frank doesn`t really alter the handling much to be fair.Snorkle was fitted as a precaution to prevent water entering the engine via the air intake.Beacause of Freelander electrics and ECU`S  i haven`t fitted it to go deep wading and probably wouldn`t advise that anybody did.Was told at Wales wanderer one weekend that it will probably float in water that deep.......... :?
