2005 Freelander TD4 VC problems
« on: January 23, 2007, 10:23:25 »
Hello all, I've had my 2005 Freelander for 3 months now. It has just gone in for its 24K mls service. I have noticed that when I pull into a parking space, ie full lock at slow speed, the vehicle seems to not want to roll...if you get waht I mean. I pointed this out to the service guy and he mentioned the Viscous coupling unit. I gather that this has given problems on earlier vehicles......has anyone had these problems with later cars?

Regards, Rich

I would be very surprised for a VCU to go that early.

As it is still under warrenty get a dealer to check it out.

Yep....The garage confirmed there were problems. I will get it into the Landrover dealer as soon as I can.
