i have a samurai, i'm new to zukis

basicly after a lot of water, mud and steep hills at manby on sunday the zuki won't/ dosent tick over very well and wont start.

the tick over seams to be running on three

the starter dosen't work urn the key and nothing bridge the conections with a skrewdriver and at best occaisional wissing

clutch feels rough when bump started

squeeeeling fan belt any advice cheers ben

i can fix the fan belt

sounds like problems i had with my sammy mate,

it could be possible that the plate on the gearbox could be missing, and its all clogged up with mud/dirt/water,
the plate is underneath where the housing fastens to the engine, its about 2inches x 4-5 inches and it bolts on,

on top of the sammy gearbox(clutch housing) is a rubber grommit, take it out and jet wash it out, you will be amazed what comes out.

take off the dizzy and spray with wd40, the starter should be ok when you jet wash through the inspection hole

ok ben bit of a list u got there lol

tick over is most likey ya carb do your self a favour and bin it and fit an sj
change your plugs and leads as this will also help with the rough tickover too
starter problem get on fleabay and buy a "clicky starter kit" this shud help u unless its totally goosed
clutch prob. is the inspection bung in the bell housing? and the [PooPoo] plate under the bell housing?

just like to add it ticks over now, but on sunday no chance, also very low, on sunday it was ticking over at 2000 till i touched the carb/throttle cable and then very low and still low now

on sunday at manby must have stalled 6 times on its own and no starter

any more info on clutch area???????????

i went green laning last week and this week (no use in between) the clutch is different some how ???????


also starter i will look onj flea bay
