MSN Messenger

It's been suggested to me by someone at work that I use'MSN Messenger' instead of ICQ (as I sometimes do at the moment)
However I went home before I could ask him further questions, so it is worthwhile?
1. Is it possible to set up separate 'Messenger' 'user accounts' on the same PC? (very much like multiple e-mail accounts; I have the wife, mother-in-law & myself set up on this PC)
2. My wife may be using it for 'chats' with friends, she won't be interupted by someone wanting me joining in/'over-writing' her conversation will she?
3. As the mother-in-law sometimes uses my PC to send e-mails to family abroad. Are the 'Messenger' accounts password protected, as we might be organising a surprise visit by overseas relatives (& don;t want her opening mine/the wifes in error & reading our plans

1. Yo login to messenger over the internet, so you coul have Bustuckerman@whereever and Bushtuckerwoman@wherever as two separate accounts. Unless you specifically save the conversation all is lost when you terminate the conversation.
2. Each messenger account has it's own contacts, if she is talking to someone and another user wants to talk she will get another messenger conversation. Only people she has allowed will be able to contact her.
3. Yes messenger accounts are password protected and you can have a different password for msn to your main email.
I use this at work and home with different email addresses. If you try and log in on two separate PCs the earlier session will be terminated.

Surely that is questionable :shock: As it comes ready installed on your computer when you buy windows and the only really good way I have found to get rid of the programme and stop it trying to take over everything is to actually rename the folder it lives in....... I know there is a way to remove it completely but the only fool proof way to do that is edit your registry which you shouldnt have to do :x Can you tell I dont like msn :lol:
